Is Lindsay Lohan the fake inventor of her fake-n-bake spray? And did the actress turn down a role in one of the summer’s hottest movies?
According to The St. Petersburg Times, the actress and her business partner, Lorit Simon, were slapped with a lawsuit on Monday by St. Petersburg chemist Jennifer Sunday. The suit accuses Lohan of stealing the formula for Sevin Nyne, the actress’ self-tanning spray line, which she co-created with Simon.
Sunday’s attorney, Marcia Cohen, told the paper her client created the ingredients used in the self-tanning spray.
“We are certainly looking for the profits that are being generated right now from that product,” Cohen said. “If Ms. Lohan and Ms. Simon and their companies and their shareholders are profiting from the theft of my client’s formula and are profiting from that product, my client is entitled to those proceeds.”
Lohan and Simon are reportedly being sued by Sunday for breach of contract, theft of trade secrets, civil conspiracy, intentional interference with contractual relations and deceptive and unfair trade practices.
Lohan’s partner, Simon, reportedly signed a confidentiality agreement earlier this year with Sunday’s company, White Wave International Labs. The suit reportedly alleges that Simon and Sunday had negotiated over samples of the self-tanning spray, but never agreed on a dollar amount.
“The next thing we know, Lorit Simon and Lindsay Lohan are partnering and Ms. Lohan is taking credit for developing this formula, which she indeed had no role in,” Cohen claimed.

Lohan and Sunday have reportedly never met.
The spray tan, which retails for $35 at Sephora stores, is reportedly made from ingredients that include goji berry, caramel, Chardonnay extracts and a sugar-coconut base — along with something that Lohan calls her “sunless secret.”
When contacted by the paper, Lohan and Simon could not be reached for comment, but the starlet took to her Twitter page responding to the allegations.
“No formula was stolen for Sevin Nyne,” she Tweeted on Wednesday. “It’s a woman looking for a payday. That’s it!”
In more reported unfortunate Lohan news, the actress reportedly turn down a role in one of the summer’s hottest movies.
According to Us Weekly, the “Labor Pains” actress — which was not released in theaters and will premiere on ABC Family this month — reportedly turned down a role in the breakout comedy, “The Hangover.”
The 23-year-old actress passed on the role of the stripper with a heart of gold, Jade, because she felt the screenplay “had no potential,” a source claimed. The role eventually went to Heather Graham.
According to the mag, director Todd Phillips sought out Lohan for the movie after a their mutual agent suggested the actress.
“The agent tried hard to get Phillips to consider her,” the source claimed. “And when he finally agreed, Lindsay said she didn’t like the script!”
“The Hangover” has been a hit with audiences pulling in $205 million since its June 5 premiere at the box office.
