"The Little Couple" stars Dr. Jennifer Arnold and Bill Klein are about to become a trio.

"We are thrilled to announce that we have adopted a beautiful young boy from China," the pair told People. "We are so proud to welcome William to our family and look forward to bringing him home."

The 3-year-old boy, who has dwarfism like both of his new parents, is the first child for Arnold and Klein.

Since they were newlyweds in 2009, viewers have followed the businessman and pediatrician, both of whom are under 4 feet tall, as they navigated marriage, managed challenging careers and attempted to expand their family.

After their surrogate suffered a miscarriage in 2011, they remained optimistic.

"While the loss of the pregnancy was difficult for us, we remain upbeat and focused on growing our family," they wrote on Facebook. "The story doesn't end here ... we promise :)."

The sixth season of "The Little Couple" premieres on TLC April 30 at 10 p.m.
