After Lindsay Lohan read her father’s latest highly publicized rant about her lifestyle and her maybe-girlfriend, Samantha Ronson, the actress followed in his footsteps and contacted the press to set the record straight.
In an email published on X17Online Sunday, the Lohan patriarch vented his growing frustration with Lindsay’s constant sidekick.
“Personally, I think (Samantha) is dark, hideous and a disgusting representation of humanity!” Michael wrote. “Have you ever seen her apartment? For God's sake, when she runs out of toilet paper she tells people to use the cardboard roll. (I was told this first hand).”
In addition to that particular low blow, Michael alleged that Sam is the mastermind behind Lindsay’s frequent blog entries, and that his little girl would be better off in the company of a “good person” — say, Joe “Girls Gone Wild” Francis, for instance.
As far as LiLo’s concerned, Michael crossed the line with his public tirade and simply provided further proof that he’s the one that needs help.
“My father obviously needs to be on medication to control his moods,” Lindsay told the New York Post’s Page Six. “He is out of line and his words show how much anger he has, and it's dangerous and scary as it reminds me of how he treated my mother and I my whole childhood. He needs to be stopped. This is yet another reason why we aren't speaking.”
Oh, and about her relationship with the much-maligned Sam, she added, “She loves me, as I do her.”
Simon shocked, shocked that Clay's gaySimon Cowell learned of Clay Aiken’s coming out “bombshell” during an interview with Extra TV , and his reaction mimicked how many others likely took the news.
“Wow, that's a shock,” the “American Idol” grump joked. “It's like being told Santa Claus isn't real — unbelievable!”
Later Simon gave the sarcasm a rest and admitted the decision was “the right thing for (Clay),” and said that he can’t imagine how coming out could have a negative affect on the former “AI” finalist’s career.
“I don't think anyone cares,” he said. “Let's face it. It's 2008. You know, who cares?”
Extra pounds mean Jessica’s extra happy If Jessica Simpson looks a little fuller-figured nowadays, that’s just because she’s feeling great.
According to OK! magazine, the pop-turned-country singer is no longer obsessed with staying stick-thin.
“She's done depriving herself and missing out on life just to fit into a size 2 jeans,” a pal of Jessica’s told the magazine. “She doesn't think there's anything wrong with the way she looks.”
Much of the credit for Jess’ relaxed attitude goes to her boyfriend, Dallas Cowboy quarterback Tony Romo.
“Whether she's catching one of Tony's games, or just hanging out with him, she'll throw back a couple of beers, eat some pizza and just have fun,” the pal revealed. “She is just in a different place than she used to be and her weight gain is a reflection of that.”
Dish on the fly The latest former child star to bemoan the biz is none other than Kirsten Dunst. In an interview with Reveal magazine, the “Spider-Man” star shared her woes about her early days in film. “I regret I've done so much in such a short time and regret some of the decisions taken on my behalf,” she said. “I have had to grow up very fast in the adult world of acting. I already know that if I have a child, I will never put them through this.” … Given the number of D-listers who've demonstrated their dancing prowess, Melissa Joan Hart resents never appearing on “Dancing With the Stars. “I boycott that show,” Melissa explained to 104.3’s “Valentine in the Morning.” “The first season they asked me, but I was in a contract with Fox, and they wouldn’t let me out. Second season I was pregnant. Third season I was pregnant. Fourth season they didn’t ask me. Fifth season they were going to ask me, but they replaced me with Heather Mills or something. So I don’t watch it anymore.”
