After a long and nasty divorce battle, Dina and Michael Lohan have finally come to a settlement — and more importantly, have also resolved their custody battle, “Access Hollywood” learned Friday.
Michael Lohan will be permitted to visit his kids through the process of therapeutic reunification, administered by Dr. Daniel Kremin.
“The parties are of the view that both matters are substantially resolved. Accordingly, we intend to file the appropriate paperwork with both courts,” Michael's attorney John P. Dimascio Jr. told “Access.” “Michael is anxious to be reunited with his children and is cooperating fully with the process.”
A source tells “Access Hollywood” Michael might see his kids as early as Sept. 6.
While terms of the divorce settlement are not being made public, Dimascio Jr. confirmed to “Access” the couple will be legally divorced in the next 60-90 days.
Both parties signed a confidentiality agreement, which prevents the details from being made public. However, they did come to terms on the financial aspects of their divorce, as well as support of their two minor children — Ali and Dakota.
The drawn out, messy divorce found both sides taking shots at each other. In an earlier interview with “Access Hollywood,” Lindsay's father blamed the family struggle for many of Lindsay's public problems and said reconciliation could help solve some of his daughter's issues.
“Look, let's be serious. The writing is on the wall. When we were a family, did you see any of this going on? It wasn't until we were torn apart, at the pinnacle of Lindsay's career no less, when people came into the picture did everything fall apart,” Michael suggested.
He also said much of the responsibility falls squarely on mom Dina's shoulders.
“Dina is accountable for herself and just like Lindsay, Dina needs to clean house. I don’t even want to go there. Dina knows what is going on. I know what is going on and it's just got to stop. Enough is enough. I've had it. I really have. I feel the walls that have been put between us is what's causing all of this to happen,” Michael said.
