The stars were shining in the Big Apple on Tuesday night for the premiere of Martin Scorsese’s new film “The Departed.”
The superstar-studded red carpet not only included the movie’s stars — Leo, Matt, Jack and Mark — but also brought out the like of Bono, Lauren Bacall, Mick Jagger and Billy Joel.
In true Jack style, Nicholson arrived fashionably late with 22-year-old actress Paz de la Huerta on his arm, shades on his eyes and a cigarette in hand.
“He’s a force of nature,” Leo joked with Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson.
While Jack didn’t stop to talk to the press, the rest of the stars were more than happy to chat about the film and its stars, including actress Vera Farmiga, who shot love scenes in the film with both Matt and Leo.
“Who had the better love scene — Matt or Leo?” Shaun asked Vera.
“Well Matt’s character can’t get it up, so technically…” Vera laughed.
“Wait, this is a family show!” a shocked Shaun replied.
Then it was time to let the boys weigh in.
“I asked Matt if he knew who Vera said had the better love scene with her,” Shaun told Leo.
“Who did he guess?” DiCaprio asked. “If he said it was him then I have to say it was me. That’s the way it goes.”
“Actually he said he had the better love scene … with you!” Shaun told Leo.
“Having been with Leo, I can tell you he is great and really impressive,” Matt had previously joked with Shaun.
“I don’t remember that one unfortunately,” Leo grinned.
