Things are going to get frosty on the next episode of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." Instead of starting with the usual crime-of-the-week still in progress, the action kicks off with a very cold case.

In this exclusive first look from the episode, Fin grumps his way through an in-office move (a total of six feet from his previous position), when Munch enters the scene with a not-so-hot lead.

"You know, everyone says the DNA bank at the state is a good thing. Downside? Somebody's got to go through the cases," he explained after having done just that. "Upside? I got a hit on an unsolved rape-murder from '87."

Rollins dismissed the case as downright "frigid," but with the suspect due to be released from prison (on other charges) the very next day, there's reason to rush.

Well, there's reason for some detectives to rush. The captain ordered Benson and Amaro to Miami to stay on top of the suspect. But he ordered the already-cranky Fin to stay put, despite the man's best argument about his "feel for Miami" after all that undercover work he did.

Find out how the case goes and see if anything can turn Fin's mood around when "Law & Order: SVU" airs Wednesday at 9 p.m. on NBC.
