Life imitated art for former Law &Order: Criminal Intent actress Kathryn Erbe today as testified in her own case against a madman stalker.

Erbe took the stand today and testified that she was scared for her and her family's safety after the alleged stalker, Charles Nagel, grew increasingly persistent, harassing her with wacky messages.

"I couldn't believe it was happening," Erbe testified in Brooklyn Federal Court, according to reports. "He infiltrated my life."

Her nightmare began two years ago in 2008, when Nagel reached her on set and tried to hug her during a shoot.

What was Erbe's very first instinct about him?

I got a very bad feeling from him," she described about the her fist encounter with Nagel. "Just the way he looked at me. I did not feel comfortable."

The next eight months would prove scary for the actress, as Nagel's rants grew crazier and more frequent, with him penning a six page letter that he sent to her production office. He also began contacting her ex-husband and her 14-year-old daughter, scribbling a cockroach on a picture of the girl he found on Facebook.

"That is a seventh-grade graduation picture of my daughter with a dialogue bubble that says, 'I'm ugly,' and a cockroach drawn on her face," Erbe said, crying."This is my daughter, who is completely innocent and relatively defenseless, and I'm not going to let this happen," she said.

Nagel, a 36-year-old Philadelphia native, has two daughters of his own, uniquely named Batgirl and Harley, who were in the courtroom, along with his wife.

He was charged last June with interstate stalking, a federal crime, after traveling to New York with his family multiple times in 2008 and 2009 to visit the L&O set, one time getting Erbe to pose for a picture with him and his daughter.

But he quickly turned mad, and soon tried to chase Erbe as she was being driven away from the set. Another time, he allegedly showed up at the show's production office looking for her.

Here's to hoping the only thing he'll be looking at now is the inside of a jail cell.
