Kim Kardashian and Kanye West got engaged in typically over-the-top fashion on Monday, and by Tuesday night, the late-night comics had caught up to the news. West popped the question by renting out San Francisco's AT&T Park and flying Kardashian's family and friends up from Los Angeles to witness the proposal.
Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show" lobbed some jabs at Kardashian's marriage track record -- she's been wed twice before, once for just 72 days.
"You know why (West) picked the baseball stadium?" Leno asked his audience. "Well, this was Kim's third strike."
Leno also reminded viewers that Kim's second marriage, to NBA player Kris Humphries, was rather short-lived.
"So Kim's getting married, how about that?" he asked. "You know what that means. She's off the market for at least the next 72 days."
Jimmy Fallon on "Late Night" was more focused on how the proposal was delivered -- West had the stadium's giant scoreboard flash the message "PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!"
"Unfortunately (West) had to wait for her answer, because the Goodyear blimp she rented to say yes took forever to come around," he joked.
He also hinted that the singer perhaps has a high opinion of himself, saying, "Kanye was like, 'I finally found the perfect person, and I want you to marry him.'"

Fallon also suggested that West took the opportunity to do a little PR work for his music, showing the proposal on the scoreboard and then a mocked-up message reading "THEN BUY MY ALBUM YEEZUS AVAILABLE ON ITUNES NOW."
