Just days after Larry King told the BBC that “Piers Morgan Tonight” may have been “oversold” to the U.S., the former CNN host will sit down with the Brit who took over his 9 p.m. slot on the network.

Over the weekend, Morgan tweeted he had a special guest that was coming on his show, calling the then-unnamed Larry, “one of most famous people in America and has every potential to be ‘dangerous.’”

Morgan’s “dangerous” reference comes straight out of King’s interview, which ran last week on BBC Radio 4.

“I think one of the problems they did was over sell it,” King told the BBC, referring to Morgan’s slipping ratings. “[They said] he was going to be dangerous, he was going to be water cooler talk.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, King told the BBC he thinks the former tabloid editor, who has a successful talk show in the UK — “Piers Morgan’s Life Stories” — and is a judge on “America’s Got Talent,” does a fine job, but isn’t living up to his show’s promises.

“He’s good, but not that dangerous,” King, who retired from “Larry King Live” in December, said. “I think they might have been better off starting quietly and that’s not Piers’ fault, or maybe it is, I’m not inside anymore.”

King even had some advice for Piers — don’t interrupt one’s guests.

“He’s certainly not bad. He’s certainly an acceptable host. He asks good questions, maybe he interrupts a little too much at times. I think he may have been oversold,” the TV talk veteran suggested.

Morgan did have some advice for King though, when he appears as a guest on his show — sit on the other side.

“Hope Larry remembers he has to sit on the right now,” Morgan tweeted.

He also revealed he planned to ask King about some of his comments.

“Got a feeling we may need to discuss Larry’s claim that I’m ‘oversold’ and ‘not dangerous,’” Morgan wrote.

“May have to twang those suspenders to prove how dangerous I really am,” Morgan added, referring to King’s trademark look.
