Britney Spears' latest CD, "Circus," has landed her at a familiar position — No. 1.

Her label, Jive Records, says the singer's comeback CD will top the album charts. Nielsen SoundScan, which tracks sales figures, does not release its official figures until Wednesday.

"Circus" was released almost a year after her last CD, "Blackout." That was designed to be a comeback CD, but the singer's year of chaos was in full-swing at the time and she barely promoted it.

Now on the rebound, Spears has made several high-profile appearances for "Circus" and plans a nationwide tour in March.
