Kanye West has gone at it again with the paparazzi, and his latest rant had Hoda and Kathie Lee in stitches on Wednesday.
The rap star and new father tore into a TMZ cameraman who dared to tell him: “I’m a big fan, bro. I love your work.”
West responded angrily.
"I appreciate it, but don't talk,” he started before exploding on camera.
“I don't want to hear paparazzi talk to me or anybody I know,” he said. “Don't talk to me at all, and don't talk to anyone I know at all. And tell everybody, never talk to anyone that anyone knows. Don’t talk to themselves. Don’t talk ever again.”
Was it something the guy said?
“What was that tirade?” Hoda said after watching the clip.
“None of us know what it’s like to be followed to that degree,” she acknowledged, but she wondered that after a while, “maybe you start losing your marbles.”
Kathie Lee said that anyone who becomes famous should accept the bad with the good.
“When you become a celebrity, you got to understand that 50 percent of your job is when you leave your home. It just is,” she said.
Celebrities need to be grateful for the fans they have, she added.
“It’s not that you’re obligated to spend the rest of your life with them, but be gracious,” she said.
KLG expressed surprise that West responded so violently to someone who simply professed his admiration for the star’s work.
“I’d love one of them to say that to me. I’d French kiss the guy,” she said.
It’s one thing if someone is yelling an insult, but to go after someone, no matter how annoying, paying you a compliment?
“Just say ‘Love you, too,’ and keep going,” said KLG.
