KLG and Hoda try a $1,000 pizza and frittata

Kathie Lee and Hoda had two special guests on the show Thursday -- $1,000 eats from two New York City restaurants. One, a pizza called Bellisima, is available at Nino’s Restaurant. The frittata at Norma’s at Le Parker Meridian includes 10 ounces of caviar, lobster, egg, cream and chives. For those looking to have the splurge but keep it from getting out of hand, there’s a more "affordable" version on the menu that has just 1 ounce of caviar and costs $100.

Correspondent Sara Haines came over to give the $1,000 delicacies a taste-test. Before trying a bite she said, “I feel like I should cash this in and use it for something else.”

“It’s two pairs of shoes,” KLG said.

Sara called the caviar on the frittata “amazing,” and said that she could really taste the roe on the pizza. 

KLG pointed off-camera and said, “Now I want you over there dancing because you’re going to go work it off.”
