“You know, the only thing better than breaking up is going on ‘The View’ right after you break up. It’s really living a dream,” Kimmel told the ladies.

Jimmy Kimmel made a visit to “The View” on Monday dressed as former panelist Rosie O’Donnell. But, the comedian admitted, it wasn’t his wig, stretch pants or fake brassiere that made his guest spot uncomfortable — it was the questions from the ladies about his recent breakup with comedian Sarah Silverman.

“You know, the only thing better than breaking up is going on ‘The View’ right after you break up. It’s really living a dream,” Kimmel told the ladies, who are filming their show this week from Los Angeles.

When asked by the women what went wrong in the couple’s second split, Kimmel drew a reference to his O’Donnell get up.

“What do you mean what happened? Look at me. What do you think happened? I’m a 41-year-old man with a bra filled with Koosh balls,” he said. “I’m an imbecile. She couldn’t date an imbecile anymore.”

Kimmel and Silverman first split in July 2008. The most recent break-up, first reported by Us Weekly over the weekend, was reportedly instigated by Silverman.

And Kimmel seemed to confirm those details when Barbara Walters asked if their relationship was really over.

“I don’t know. I don’t know,” he repeated. “Ask her what’s going to happen.”
