Kim Kardashian Blasts "Absolutely Not True" Cheating Allegations, May Sue

The Kardashians aren't exactly strangers to the world of gossip, but even in the tabloids, there's a line you don't cross. Unfortunately for them, one magazine just crossed it--and now they're going to pay.

Blushing bride-to-be Kim Kardashian has wasted no time in adamantly shooting down InTouch Weekly's current cover story, alleging that the newly engaged reality star was involved with another pro athlete during her courtship to fianc Kris Humphries.

"This is absolutely not true," Kim told E! News exclusively. "I have no idea who this person is."

This person, according to the never-reliable tabloid, is NFL star Bret Lockett, whom they claim has been involved with Kim for the past five months.

Needless to say, this isn't sitting well with Team Kardashian, and they have already fired off a legal letter to the magazine informing them that none of their so-called facts or alleged evidence ( InTouch is claiming to have intercepted text messages between Kim and the New England Patriots star) are entirely made up.

Kim's lawyer, Dennis A. Roach, wrote in his letter to the magazine's counsel, "For the record, none of the facts...are accurate."

He's asking that the tabloid "immediately refrain from publishing, distributing or disseminating any factually untrue and unsubstantiated information" and called the allegations "at a minimum, damaging, defamatory and an invasion of her privacy."

Should the magazine not oblige, Kim will be "forced to take appropriate legal action." In other words, the magazine had better get ready to pay through the nose.

A source close to the Kardashian family tells E! News that if the allegations are not properly--and quickly--retracted, Kim has every intention of suing both the magazine and Lockett, who is liberally quoted throughout the story, and on whose supposed (and quite bitter-sounding) recollection of events the allegations seem based.

"It's sad to Kim that someone can't just let two people be happy," the source said. "She has never met or talked to Lockett. She's going to sue."

In the meantime, Kim also took to her blog later this morning, where she continued to defend herself against the magazine's false claims.

"I knew when I got engaged that rumors and false stories were going to start, but this is RIDICULOUS!!!!" she wrote. "This guy should be ashamed of himself. Calling up a magazine and making up an entirely fake story in a sad attempt to ruin my relationship!?!?! It's just shameful and this guy should feel ashamed and humiliated. Is this your pathetic attempt for attention?

"I'll be damned if anyone, especially some loser I've never even met, is going to try to come between Kris and me...The tabloids and weekly magazines will do ANYTHING to sell copies, and in this case they decided to run a false story, knowing they had absolutely no proof that it was real. It's disgusting, and I will be taking legal action against InTouch magazine and Bret Lockett."

Lockett's agent has yet to comment.

Tick-tock, InTouch. Tick-tock.
