While Nicole Kidman isn’t planning another pregnancy any time soon, she thinks a new bundle of joy might be a good idea for Katie Holmes.

The “Golden Compass” star told Glamour magazine that Connor Cruise, 13, the son she adopted with ex-husband Tom Cruise, is craving another sibling. Cruise's current wife, Holmes, at 29, could just be the one to make his wish come true.

“(Connor) would like one of us to have a boy,” she explained. “He wants that boy. Katie?”

A Kidman confidante told OK! magazine it just makes sense for Holmes to broaden the brood.

“At 41, Nicole knows she’s not likely to have another baby,” the pal said. “It’s obviously up to the much-younger Katie to give Connor that baby brother.”

Carrie Underwood didn’t mean to upset Jessica SimpsonLooks like that feud between country crooners Carrie Underwood and Jessica Simpson all started over a case of bad timing.

The “American Idol” alum was famously quoted in the September issue of Allure magazine as saying her ex-boyfriend, otherwise known as Simpson’s current boyfriend, Tony Romo, still dialed her digits on occasion. Now, Underwood tells Elle magazine her comments were made months before they hit the newsstands.

“I don't think people realize that when you do an interview, the magazine comes out six months later,” she explained. “It was just something that was said in passing, and I would never mean to say anything to hurt anybody or to stir up anything, because I'm just not about drama.”

Underwood says she can understand any upset the earlier interview caused Simpson, as “I might be mad, too, if somebody said my boyfriend was calling some other girl.”

“I think that people don't realize that I work very hard, and there's a lot of work that goes into it,” Hilton explained. “It's not just showing up and looking pretty — there's a lot of business and decisions that have to be made every single day.”

According to Hilton, her schedule is so hectic right now, she can’t even find to time to fulfill one of her biggest wishes.

“I think that (getting married and having children) definitely completes your life,” she said. “Right now I'm way too busy with my work and with traveling, but eventually, one day, I would love to have my own family. Just not right now.”

Until then she satisfies her biological clock by interacting with other people’s kids. After all, “it's fun to, like, play dress-up with them.”

Dish on the fly Drew Barrymore’s former flame, Justin “I’m a Mac” Long, recently got a shot at lust with MTV reality star Tila Tequila. The New York Post’s Page Six reports the pair were spotted keeping close company at Los Angeles’ Noir. “(Justin) asked her to straddle him while making out,” an eavesdropper revealed to the paper before adding, “Eww.” … Supermodel-turned-CEO Elle Macpherson believes a bad economy could mean big business for her high-end line of undergarments. “For every down-at-heel hedge fund manager who has had to ditch his mistress due to financial hardship there’s always another waiting to step in,” an optimistic Macpherson told the Daily Express. “And in these hard times you find that when a woman can’t afford a dress in the luxury echelons, she may opt instead to part with ($32) on underwear that makes her feel good.”
