With a new video called “Once In A Lifetime” premiering Thursday on CMT, a new album called “Love, Pain and the Whole Crazy Thing,” oh, and let’s not forget a wife named Nicole, it’s fair to say life is good for Keith Urban.
And in an exclusive interview with Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson, Keith said he’s almost used to getting all of the attention.
“How are you dealing with all the attention and the paparazzi?” Shaun asked. “Everyone wants to talk to you.”
“I think it’s crazy for everyone else. In a sense, it’s actually more calm but I think it comes across as much more insane,” Keith revealed.
“You’re like in the middle of a hurricane,” Shaun laughed.
“It’s always quiet in the eye of the hurricane,” Keith smiled.
Happy and humble. That is Keith’s demeanor in the media storm created by his love for wife Nicole Kidman.
Shaun caught up with Keith on location in the shadows of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge where the country superstar was filming his new video for “Once In A Lifetime.”
It’s a song written from the heart and inspired interestingly enough by Nicole and Keith’s date together at this year’s Oscars.
“The song isn’t specifically about me or us,” Keith explained. “It’s for couples who found their best friend.”
“Do you feel that way?” Shaun asked.
“No question,” he said without hesitation.
It’s been three months since the couple exchanged vows in Australia. And as Shaun found out, there was some national pride involved.
“Could you believe all the commotion?” she asked Keith.
“I was really proud. We’re both really proud Australians and the support we got from Australia was really overwhelming,” he replied. “So mostly, it was a really joyous week for us.”
Keith’s new album, “Love, Pain and the Whole Crazy Thing,” is due out in November and Keith is getting ready to hit the road for a six month U.S. tour. And to make things comfortable for the happy couple, Keith dropped $1 million on a luxury motor coach.
“Now that you have another person to consider, will that change the way you tour?” Shaun asked.
“I’m fortunate to have someone who’s in the arts and understands the passion for it. It’s not just a job — it’s a passion,” Keith beamed. “I’m grateful to have somebody like that in my life.”
