To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Oreo, our snackspert co-anchors nibbled varieties of the cookie from around the globe.
New York is actually the home of the venerable dessert sandwich, but did you know that around the world, different countries have versions of this classic cookie? The ladies preferred Argentina's version, which involved a chocolate coating and some kind of "goo," and China's, a crispy wafer. Less popular was the Indonesian version, whose green innards KLG compared to "baby poop" and Hoda politely described as "not tasty."
In the process, Kathie Lee may have created a new urban legend when she declared, "You can tell a lot about a person's sex life by the way she eats an Oreo," just before admitting, "I made that up."
Happy birthday, delicious cookie!
