Caitlyn Jenner's transformation has been most challenging, of course, for herself personally. But understanding — even from her closest friends — is not always an instantaneous process. On Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live" Wednesday, longtime pal (and godmother to Kylie and Kendall Jenner) spoke honestly about how she's readjusting her own thinking.
So far, Kathie Lee revealed, the 35-year-long friends have not been in the same room together, though they've spoken on the phone. And that conversation, she said, was like speaking to a different person. "It was weird, because it's still Bruce's voice, but it's coming out of Caitlyn's mouth now," she told host Andy Cohen.
Kathie Lee said she'd had no idea this was coming, even though their families were close and traveled the world together. "I don't have gaydar at all, so I'm certainly not going to have transgender-dar," she noted.

While she is supportive of Caitlyn's change, she noted that "it's much easier for people to get used to it who don't know her as a person. ... It's a lot for people to digest ... and they're trying to be loving. Bruce was one of the most loving, adorable, sweetest guys in the world. That is all still there in Caitlyn, but ... you gotta come to grips with it somehow."
