In the end, “Dancing With the Stars” came down to a three-way battle between Nicole Scherzinger, Evan Lysacek and Erin Andrews, but one of ballroom’s worst dancers, celebrity mom Kate Gosselin, walked away with a big reward of her own.
According PopEater, the star of the upcoming TLC show “Twist of Kate” earned $500,000 for her brief five-week run on the show, and given the ratings boost she brought to the 10th season of the ballroom bash, she was a good investment.
“Kate earned over $100,000 per week on ‘Dancing,’ ” an insider revealed. “She's a single mom who has to pay the bills and feed those eight little mouths all by herself. Say what you want about her, but Kate will do anything to make sure her children have a bright future. Even making a fool out of herself on national TV.”
If that payday seems like a lot for a few weeks of moving (ever so slowly) to the music, another source assured Gosselin was well worth it.
“Kate was without doubt the main attraction to the show this year,” a producer told PopEater. “She is ratings gold and can demand much more money than soap hunk Aiden Turner. Who? Precisely.”
In Turner’s defense, Gosselin only waltzed her way to one more week than he did.

“PS I HAVE NO FRIENDS,” she wrote. “The ones who are pretending to be ‘friends’ or ‘family,’ are crazy, angry, broke, and bitter this is why they haven't been in my life for years! LIARS!”
