Moviegoers at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood received some bonus Jonas face time last night when the brothers showed up in person and surprised screaming fans at a midnight screening of their new rockumentary, “Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience.”

Last night’s appearance was the brothers’ first stop on their Surprise Theater Invasion tour, where the boys will personally visit movie theaters in cities across the nation during the opening weekend of their new film.

“We couldn’t be more excited about this,” said Kevin Jonas. “It’s going to be a whirlwind trip, and I can’t think of a better way to launch our new film.”

But the Jonas Brothers dropped no hints on what cities they might pop into next.

“We can tell you they’re in America,” Joe Jonas joked.

“That’s true,” said Nick Jonas. “We can’t give away too many details, but just the fact that we’re able to experience this with our fans was something we wanted to do.”

The brothers shook hands with fans and took photos before taking their seats in the theater to watch their new flick.

“I hope the fans we surprise at the movie theaters we visit have as much fun as I know we are going to have,” said Joe Jonas.

And judging by the crowds of screaming fans last night at El Capitan Theatre, the fans certainly seem to be enjoying themselves.

“I don’t think there’s any way you could really get used to (the screaming),” said Joe Jonas. “You hear it so much that you get immune to it.”

The brothers can certainly anticipate more screaming fans throughout the rest of the weekend, and Access’ own Maria Menounos will be traveling with the Jonas Brothers on their whirlwind surprise adventure to capture all the behind-the-scenes action.

“We love giving back to the fans because they give so much to us, and I think this is a great way to show how much we appreciate them,” said Nick Jonas.

“Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience” opens nationwide today, and is expected to take the top slot at the box office this weekend.
