While former reality TV dad Jon Gosselin seeks custody of his eight kids based on ex-wife Kate’s “absentee mom” status, one insider insists Jon’s lengthy visits to former girlfriend Morgan Christie left the “Plus 8” parentless far more than Kate’s career has.

“(Jon) didn’t see the kids for weeks and the only reason was that he wanted to hang out with his girlfriend,” the insider told Radar Online. “He’s claiming that Kate is an absentee mother when the truth is she’s a working mother.”

Even factoring in Kate’s time-consuming “Dancing With the Stars” duties, the insider believes it’s Jon who comes up short — a point that could soon be confirmed in court.

“When they compare who has spent more time with the children, Jon is going to be embarrassed,” the insider said. “He’s doing this because he blew through all his money and has no place to live.”

Dad’s engagement makes LiLo sick
When news of Michael Lohan’s engagement to one of Jon Gosselin’s many ex-girlfriends made it to estranged daughter Lindsay Lohan, the actress wasn’t shy about sharing her reaction.

“I'm gonna vomit!” LiLo told “I so didn't need that info. ... Yuck!”

The senior Lohan recently explained that he proposed to former Star magazine reporter Kate Major after sharing a hot-tub soak with his father-in-law-to-be.

“I was in a hot tub with her dad at their house, and I said, ‘There's something we have to talk about.’ He said, ‘Oh my God, don't tell me Kate's pregnant!’ ” Michael Lohan joked to

“I told him I was looking at the future, and I wanted to make it formal and take it to the next level. After that, he approved, then Kate and I discussed it and she discussed it with her dad.”

I think videos should just tell the story of the song. And then with product placement it all just becomes this big ad campaign.” But it’s one the singer believes is sometimes necessary. “Sometimes we have to do it, for whatever political reason, but it's never my first choice. I don't like things to be so commercial.” … Although he famously refused to walk down the aisle with former gal pal Holly Madison, 83-year-old Playboy founder Hugh Hefner may soon give marriage another try.
