Have mercy! "Necessary Roughness" actor John Stamos recently revealed a surprising look — one with his famous luscious locks noticeably absent.

In an Instagram photo that the former "Full House" star shared with fans, the actor poses in a robe, gold chain and a bald cap — the latter whose shape is reminiscent of the classic "Saturday Night Live" sketch "The Coneheads" made famous by Dan Aykroyd in the '70s.

"And now for something completely different....," the man behind Uncle Jesse wrote.

But it seemed some fans missed the joke. "Is this real?!" wrote one. "WHY," questioned another, while a third exclaimed, "U LOST YOUR PRECIOUS HAIR."

Stamos, 50, didn't explain what the smooth cap was for, but did later share another photo where his hair was clearly still on top of his head ... as was the "Conehead" noggin.

The actor and his fellow "Full House" stars have enjoyed a resurgence in the media in recent weeks. Stamos, Bob Saget and Dave Coulier had been making headlines promoting their "Full House" reunion Super Bowl ad, and appeared on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon," "Watch What Happens Live" and more.
