On any given night, Jimmy Fallon makes sure his audience goes for a thrilling ride on "The Tonight Show."
But soon, you won't have to be in his New York City studio to take that ride: "Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon" will be opening at Universal Orlando Resort in 2017.
"It's scary, it's fun, it's exciting," said Fallon, who noted the ride named after him would be like the ones based on the Harry Potter franchise. "It's like that," he said, "except instead of Harry Potter, it's me. Instead of Hogwarts, it's New York City."
"Our team found inspiration in the outrageous celebrity races that have become one of the most popular segments of Jimmy's 'Tonight Show,'" Jason Surrell, who works as creative director at Universal Creative, wrote on the company's blog. "Since Universal Studios Florida has long been famous for placing guests in the middle of their favorite movies and TV shows, we thought it was a perfect fit."
The ride will start at a recreated Studio 6B, where guests will attend a "very special taping," wrote Surrell, in which Fallon challenges his audience to race with him through the city. And then — off you go!
Let's just hope Fallon himself isn't literally piloting the ride. He's had a few clumsy moments lately, shall we say.
