Brian Williams returned to "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on Friday, where he revealed his love of Fallon's use of puppies on the show, and recalled one time when Fallon heckled the "Nightly News" host right outside of 30 Rock.

Fallon said he was in a car with his "Tonight Show" announcer Steve Higgins when the two saw Brian Williams leaving 30 Rock, after wrapping up another edition of "Nightly."

"We saw Brian on the street, and we were yelling, 'You suck! You suck Brian Williams!'" Fallon said, laughing.

"I thought it was my family," Williams joked back.

Before reminiscing about the public heckling, Williams chatted about his love of certain guests on "The Tonight Show" — puppies. "One of our favorite things about the show is when you have puppies," he said. However, Williams revealed that he's no longer talking to Higgins given the announcer's failure to give Williams and his daughter, Allison, a heads up when puppies will appear on the show.

"He has never called," Williams said. "Would it kill you to give us a heads up on the puppies?"

Williams, of course, has famously slow jammed the news with Fallon, and the "Tonight Show" host has remixed Williams' "Nightly News" shows to take on rap songs including Sugar Hill Gang's "Rapper's Delight," Snoop Dogg's "Nuthing But A G Thang," Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch's "Good Vibrations" and Warren G's "Regulate."
