“The Biggest Loser’s” tough-talking trainer Jillian Michaels returns to NBC primetime Tuesday night with her very own show, “Losing It With Jillian.” While Michaels is expected to whip families into shape via her usual motivational mojo, the only prize these new participants can expect is a healthier lifestyle. It’s a welcome change for the health and wellness expert, who never liked the idea of making a game out of weight loss.

“Oh, I hate (game-play in ‘The Biggest Loser’). I hate every second of it,” Michaels revealed in an interview with PopEater. “‘Biggest Loser’ and I have a love-hate thing. I love what it does for the contestants. I hate the process. It’s not my show. I’ve been extremely fortunate to have the platform. Without it, I would not be able to do any of the things I’m doing. I don’t want to seem ungrateful. But if you’re asking me, everything in life is gray.”
So rather than simply continue to take what she sees as the good with the bad on “Biggest Loser,” Michaels relies on her own methods for “Losing It.” And even though she insists her new endeavor isn’t just another weight loss show, she is looking forward to learning if her solo approach can match “Biggest Loser” when it comes to results and ratings.
“There are things that you are going to love and things you are not going to love,” Michaels explained. “With ‘Biggest Loser,’ there are things I don’t love. But it’s not my show, and at the end of the day, they all lose weight and they all get healthy. I think it’s inspiring millions of people around the world. But do I wish that it wasn’t a game show? Of course I do. I don’t want to shoot myself in the foot, because according to our producers, they tend to think that makes it more compelling. And maybe they are right. But I’ll tell you this, we’re about to find out because there is none of that in ‘Losing It.’”
Miley sings about Nick Jonas
Just because Miley Cyrus is dating her “The Last Song” co-star Liam Hemsworth doesn’t necessarily mean she’s over that back-and-forth romance with Nick Jonas.
According to Gossip blog Just Jared, the teen queen kicked off a weekend performance of her song “Full Circle” by telling the audience what — and dropping a big hint as to who — the song is all about.
“It's about two people,” Cyrus told the “Rock In Rio” crowd. “They're always gonna come back together no matter what anyone says or the bad people that try to keep you apart. Surprise, surprise, it's about a Jonas brother ... you didn't hear that.”
Of course, Hemsworth might have heard it.
Dish on the flyActress Cameron Diaz urges star-struck parents not to wreck the “Shrek” fantasy for their kids. “I’ve had parents come up and go, ‘Do you know who this is? This is Princess Fiona!’ And, kids are literally in tears,” Diaz told Fandango. “I always try to stop people before they tell their kids because, as a kid, you believe that the characters that you’re watching and that you fall in love with are real. You don’t want to believe that there’s a human being behind them, in the same way that you want to believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. You don’t want that myth to be ruined and dispelled. I always tell parents, ‘Please don’t tell your kids. Let it be. Let Fiona exist as Fiona.’” … At just 17-years-old, Demi Lovato doesn’t have any experience with marriage, but a little fact like that didn’t stop her from offering up some advice to fans who might find themselves heading down the aisle sometime soon. “Ladies, NEVER sign a pre-nup,” the Disney star insisted in a recent random tweet. “It just shows that the opposite sex doesn't expect you to last.” … In order to reprise Dirk Benedict’s role as Templeton “Faceman” Peck in the upcoming “A-Team” movie, Bradley Cooper trained his way to a buff bod. But Cooper’s made-for-the-movies muscles didn’t last long. “That’s all gone now,” the actor explained in a quote posted to Showbiz Spy. “I’m back to my usual self. I could never keep that up. I look at myself in the movie and it looks like my head on someone else’s body. All that went away the moment the movie was over.”
