It's a series high for the Shore!

Thursday's episode of MTV's "Jersey Shore" was the most-watched series broadcast in the network's 30-year history.

8.9 million viewers tuned into the primetime series' latest installment, which chronicled the aftermath of Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi's July 30 arrest for disorderly conduct.

Though her exploits were a small screen smash, the reality star admits her few hours of incarceration weren't exactly pleasant.

"You can't even contain me," Snooki joked at the time of the incident, which took place near the cast's Seaside Heights, N.J. pad. "When I was in there, I was like, 'Can I come out? I can't breathe!' Not a fun place. I will never go back."

"Jersey Shore" airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. (EST) on MTV.
