Tito Ortiz, a former Ultimate Fighting champion and longtime boyfriend of Jenna Jameson, was arrested Monday on charges of domestic violence against the retired porn superstar.

Ortiz was arrested Monday morning at the couple's Huntington Beach home and released by late afternoon.

"He was arrested at 9:53 a.m. for domestic violence after officers were called to the residence," police spokesmen Lt. Russell Reinhart told TheWrap. "Mr. Ortiz was brought to the station, booked. He posted bail of $25,000 about 4:20 p.m. and has been released."

According to TMZ, police officers went to the home of the 205-pound, 35-year-old mixed martial arts fighter and the 110-pound, 37-year-old porn star after receiving a 911 call reporting a "disturbance." Ortiz was soon removed from the home.

The Huntington Beach police said that they'll be "treating this like any other domestic violence case — and we won't be releasing the 911 call or photographs."

Ortiz could be arraigned in the next week, people inside the court told TheWrap. The case now goes to the Orange County District Attorney's office for prosecution.

Jameson left the house with her father, who is believed to have made the 911 call that brought the police to the residence. The actress, who is the mother of twins with Ortiz, told cameramen that she would be pressing charges and that "my babies are all right ... everything's OK ... he's in jail."

Later Monday, Jameson, who retired from the adult industry back in 2008, was photographed with her arm bandaged. Early that afternoon, Jameson, who has been going through a property dispute with her ex-husband, posted on Twitter that "I'm sorry to all of my fans, but I'm going to be quitting Twitter. I cant take any more abuse from ANYONE." Just the night before, a seemingly upbeat Jameson was posting telling fans where she and Ortiz were having dinner.

Neither reps for Ortiz or Jameson responded to requests for comment on the domestic violence incident.

UFC spokeswoman Jennifer Wenk said in a statement that "we're all aware of it, and any comment would be best handled by the authorities."

Ortiz, who appeared on "Celebrity Apprentice" in early 2008 and is currently filming Spike TV's "The Ultimate Fighter" reality series, was replaced on April 12 in a much anticipated June rematch against rival Chuck Liddell in Vancouver due to injury.
