J. Lo offering up a lot less lip

Plus: Smith sounds off on ‘Jersey Girl’, more on Mariah. By Jeannette Walls

When it comes to lips, looks like J. Lo used to have a lot, now she has a little.

Jenny from the Block has undergone lip reduction surgery, according to AwfulPlasticSurgery.com. If true, the bodacious-bottomed beauty would be bucking a style trend, getting the cheiloplasty, as it’s called, at a time when lip implants are all the rage and stars like Meg Ryan and Melanie Griffith are sporting fish lips. The site also reports that the “Gigli” star has had her nose thinned.

Although the site is devoted to bad plastic surgery, (“Aliens Kidnapped Marie Osmond and Stretched Her Face” reads one headline), it notes that Lopez’s alleged nips and tucks are “an example of good plastic surgery, because the changes are not extremely noticable (sic) and enhance her looks.”

Lopez’s spokesman didn’t return calls for comment.

Mr. Smith sounds off
Speaking of Lopez, Kevin Smith, who directed her and beau Ben Affleck in “Jersey Girl” is blasting reports that neither of the stars will be pictured in posters for the film.

“Jersey Girl” producers reportedly had decided to keep the couple’s faces off all ads for the film because “Gigli” tanked. “After ‘Gigli,’ (Miramax) doesn’t want to take any chances with another laughing stock flop,” US Weekly quoted a source as saying in a report that was widely picked up. “They’re going to promote this as a (director) Kevin Smith movie. It’s going to be about Kevin.”

“So f——— ridiculous,” Smith rages on his web site. “Trust me: I’ve seen the marketing concepts on this movie from as early on as when we were still shooting up to yesterday. Every poster is centered around Affleck.” Smith says that some show Ben and Jen, some show Ben and Liv Tyler, and some show him with the young boy from the film. “None show me,” he continues, and goes on to rant about the media. A spokesman for US says the mag stands by the story.
