"The Soup," which tapes in Los Angeles, is in New York this week, which means the feud with Joel McHale was finally on Kathie Lee and Hoda's turf. You didn't think they'd let him come to town without paying him a little visit, did you?
The ladies showed up, and Joel demanded to know what they were doing on his show.
"We've been hired to spruce up the show," said Hoda.
"It's like watching dried paint!" said KLG, said, which they noted was more interesting than watching paint dry, because at least the paint is actually doing something. Buuuuuurn.
"Why are you picking on my show?" whined Joel.
"Have you seen your show?" asked KLG, in a perfect callback to this moment.
Hoda declared victory and then the pair walked off, popping back up intermittently to force Joel to pour them wine, make fun of his physique, and threaten to smash glasses on his head before performing a provocative dance that seemed to both thrill and terrify him.
