Hoda was having trouble keeping it together Tuesday, after seeing a baby baboon housing some fruit gave her a serious case of the giggles.

Earlier in the show, the National Wildlife Federation's David Mizejewski brought by animals that are known for their ability to survive in high temperatures. (Much like New York's current heat wave.) The visiting baboon was shoveling fruit in his mouth at an incredible rate, as though he was being paid by the grape. Hoda was still laughing about it well into the fourth hour — because she saw her own eating habits in the animal's.

"It did remind me of being alone in my apartment," she said. "You can use both hands. You don't care. You're alone with 'Law and Order.'"

Later, during the Today Weighs In segment with Madelyn about eating right, Hoda was still hung up on the little snack fiend.

"You look so fabulous; just keep doing what you're doing," said KLG.

"We've all been there," replied Hoda. "Don't act like you haven't."

Julieanne Smolinski is a TODAY.com contributor. She has definitely been there.
