The 57th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday will bring dozens of musical performances and plenty of playful fashion to your television, straight from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The biggest night in music is as much known for its performances as its awards, and this year will be full of original duets including Jessie J with Tom Jones, Lady Gaga with Tony Bennett, Hozier with Annie Lennox, and Sam Smith with Mary J. Blige.

"The Grammys have historically brought in veteran acts to either play new material or to play older material, but we have younger acts joining them," Senior Correspondent at Billboard Magazine Phil Gallo told NBC'S Joe Fryer for TODAY.

As for the awards, Billboard Magazine editor-at-large Joe Levy told TODAY's Lester Holt and Erica Hill that it's going to be Sam Smith's night. Tied with both Beyoncé and Pharrell for the most nominations of the night (six total), Sam Smith could take home some of the biggest awards of the ceremony. "I think it's going to be a big night for Sam Smith," Levy said. "I feel confident saying we'll be talking about Sam Smith tomorrow morning."
