Heidi Montag has fired the psychic she hired only last week to be her manager, a source close to “The Hills” star confirmed to Access Hollywood.
Last week, Heidi announced she had hired Aiden Chase, a psychic, as her manager, after firing her husband, Spencer Pratt, from the role. But now it appears Chase, too, has been let go.
The source told Access that no paperwork had been signed between Montag and the psychic, so he was never officially her manager.
When reached by phone on Thursday morning, Chase did not appear to be aware of the report.
Later on Thursday, Chase issued a statement to Access Hollywood over the news.
“At this time, I am not aware of any change in my business relationship with Heidi Montag,” Chase’s statement to Access read. “I have read a couple of recent stories online and have no knowledge about any of the information that was attributed to a source close to Heidi.”
According to Us Weekly, a source claimed that trouble began when Chase turned up on the set of “Just Go With It,” the Adam Sandler romantic comedy in which Montag recently secured a cameo, a film which she began shooting this week. The source said Montag was “horrified” that he turned up and was “demanding a significant portion of her ‘Hills’ money.”
The source also claimed that Chase tried to “move onto Audrina” Patridge, Montag’s “Hills” co-star, offering to be her manager and provide psychic services when he followed Montag on “The Hills” set recently.
Chase shot down those rumors in his statement to Access.
“Heidi invited me to the set of ‘Just Go With It’ and the terms of our financial agreement are in line with standard manager/talent agreements,” his statement continued. “I spoke with Audrina Patridge briefly when I was on the set of ‘The Hills’ with Heidi recently, but never discussed being her manager.”
A rep for Patridge did not respond to a request from Access for comment.
