It's been one year since George and Amal Clooney tied the knot in a star-studded ceremony in Venice on Sept. 27, 2014. And the honeymoon phase clearly isn't over for the glamorous pair.
In honor of the smitten couple's anniversary, we're taking a look back at some of their sweetest moments together — along with Clooney's most swoon-worthy quotes about his better half.
"They said it wouldn't last,'' Clooney told Stephen Colbert on "The Late Show" earlier this month. "It's going really well."
"It's fun," Clooney told E! News of marriage in May. "It's really fun." He added, "There were all the jokes and the bits and I get all that stuff, but I couldn't be happier right now. I wake up in the morning and I think, 'This couldn't be better.'"
"It's a humbling thing when you find someone to love," Clooney told the audience at the Golden Globes when accepting the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award in January. "Even better if you've been waiting your whole life." He added, "Amal, whatever alchemy it is that brought us together, I couldn't be more proud to be your husband."
Clooney has even heaped praise on his wife's fashion sense. "She's stunning and has a great sense of style — there's no stylist or anything, she just comes out like that and she shows up and she looks stunning," he told E! News in May.
"I think about three days in, you could tell," George told "Access Hollywood" of the moment he knew Amal was the one. "I mean, I knew when I met her that she was so extraordinary and special. And then I wondered if I'd ever get a chance to date her."
