Halloween costumes of the stars revealed

Even Hollywood celebrities are dressing like Hollywood celebrities for Halloween. One famous name wishes she had a Johnny Cash to go with her June Carter Cash costume.

Dressing up as one’s favorite celebrity for Halloween is nothing new, but this year, it’s the stars themselves who are getting in on the Hollywood doppelganger act.

Disney teen queen Selena Gomez, who admits she still goes trick-or-treating with BFF Demi Lovato, told OK! magazine she’s planning a costumed tribute to June Carter Cash this year. But don’t expect a certain Jonas brother to assume the role of Johnny Cash.

“No, I wish I had a Johnny Cash!” Gomez said.

Also on the stars-as-stars bandwagon are “Ghost Whisperer” actress Jennifer Love Hewitt and her fiancé, Ross McCall. The pair recently told "Entertainment Tonight" that they plan to assume the identities of enviable A-list twosome Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.

How do they plan to pass themselves off as Hollywood’s hottest couple?

“We're just gonna have lots of babies!” Love Hewitt joked. “And I'm going to look really sultry and really drop-dead gorgeous.”

Supermodel Cindy Crawford already unveiled her scary new look at Kate Hudson’s early Halloween bash over the weekend. X17 online caught a beehived Crawford decked out as embattled R&B singer Amy Winehouse, complete with a smear of white powder under her nose. It’s all in the details.

If the trend continues, the paparazzi can look forward to a confusing Oct. 31.

Cloris Leachman defends her ‘Dancing’ days
While “Dancing With the Stars” co-host Samantha Harris and celebrity hoofer Susan Lucci have already denied a rumor personally pitting them against the show’s resident smart aleck, Cloris Leachman, it doesn’t seem like their 82-year-old ballroom buddy got the memo.

“If I've made people mad, I'm sorry,” the acting legend told USA Today. “All my life, I've been a cut-up. I'm just having fun.”

Last week an unnamed “Dancing” staffer told the Chicago Sun-Times that “Samantha, Susan and a lot of others were saying they had had it with Cloris,” but Harris and Lucci were quick to say otherwise.

“This story could not be further from the truth,” Harris told People magazine last Friday. “I adore Cloris Leachman and have had so much fun working with her this season.”

It was much the same from the “All My Children” star, who called the story “a ridiculous rumor.”

As for Leachman, she understands that her shtick may be a bit much for some to handle, but it’s not like her fancy footwork is keeping her in the dance competition.

“The fact that I'm still on is a (expletive) miracle,” she explained to USA Today. “I suppose (viewers) see fun and hope and happiness.”

Dish on the flyHis Bennifer days are long behind him, but Ben Affleck’s still reminiscing on what went wrong between him and Jennifer Lopez. “I think Jen and I made a mistake in that we fell in love, we were excited and maybe too accessible,” the actor recalled in a quote posted to Contact Music. “I don’t think either of us anticipated the degree to which it would take on a world of its own.” … Sally Field has found a diplomatic way to keep everyone minty fresh on the set of ABC's “Brothers & Sisters.” According to the National Enquirer, the two-time Oscar winner hands all her co-stars breath mints before the cameras start rolling. “It’s a long day,” Field allegedly tells her cast mates. “And I’m not saying you have bad breath, but it only takes one stink-flower to ruin the garden.”
