Halle Berry broke big baby news to Access Hollywood when she told our own Tony Potts that she's ready to start a family — even possibly adopting.

Tony met up with Halle at the Producers Guild Association's 2006 Celebration of Diversity where she was receiving an award.

The Oscar winner told Tony, “Adopting or not, I think family is really important and especially, I think, when you have a career. It's nice to have a career, but one day the light bulb clicks on.”

Halle, 39, whose new movie “X-Men: The Last Stand” hits theatres May 26 added, “Hey, a career is great. Making movies is fun, but I need more and I'm at that stage in my life and at that age in my life where I'm looking for that ‘more.’ Somehow I'll make it happen. I don't know how yet, but I'll find the ‘more.’”

Halle, wearing a black silk Roberto Cavalli number, will be sporting a different look for her role as “Storm” in the third installment of the upcoming “X-Men: The Last Stand.”

Halle got quite a thrill out of the part as she was flipped around on suspended wires.

“You just take your brave pills and you go up there,” Halle laughed. “And I got to do most of my stunts on this, which I like to do.”

Berry is reportedly dating 30-year-old model Gabriel Aubry. Both Aubry and Berry were included in People magazine's “100 Most Beautiful” issue.

She has been married and divorced twice — to baseball player David Justice and to R&B singer Eric Benet.

“X-Men: The Last Stand,” is set for release May 26.
