Apparently Chris Colfer can do it all: sing, dance, act, make us cry at award shows and now we learn he can write, too!

The Glee star has just signed on to a two-book deal with Little, Brown Books for Young Readers.

What will he write about, you ask?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the celeb's first book, titled The Land of Stories, will be released in the summer of 2012. Stories tells the tale of twins Alex and Connor Bailey as a fast-paced adventure that mixes the modern world with fairy tales. It will target readers ages 8-12 and will be followed by a second novel that is yet to be titled.

So where did his writing bug come from? Well, it seems like it's been around for a while.

"When I was 10 years old, I promised myself that if I ever had the opportunity to write this book, I would jump at the chance," Colfer said in a statement. "This book has been at the core of my imagination for a long time and I'm excited and nervous to share it."

And this isn't the first project for the actor turned writer. He recently penned the scripts for a Disney Channel pilot and the movie Struck by Lightning.

Usually, overachievers make us feel bad about ourselves. But in your case, Chris, we kinda love it.
