Lady Gaga showed off more than her musical skills and acting chops during her latest "Saturday Night Live" visit. She proved she had what it takes to complete in a beauty and brains showdown with Kim Kardashian — or a reasonable facsimile of the reality TV star.

In a morning show spoof called "Waking up With Kimye," Gaga took on the role an Apple Genius Bar geek invited to pit her wits and fashion sense against Kardashian and self-proclaimed genius, Kanye West (played by 'SNL' regulars Nasim Pedrad and Jay Pharoah).

While Gaga held her own in the battle, the only real barb in the bit was the one she not-so-subtly slung at herself.

"I think people who try too hard with their outfits are maybe hiding something," she said with a knowing glance to the camera.

That was one of the biggest laughs of the night, but there were a lot more where that came from. The audience also cheered as Gaga channeled a child actor who just wasn't into kid stuff. Her little Lizzie Jacobson took on meaty roles, like Alonzo from "Training Day" ("King Kong ain't got doody on me").

It wasn't all child's play. Gaga also looked ahead and gave fans a humorous glimpse of what they can expect from her in the future.

Of course, no Lady Gaga appearance on "SNL" would be complete without the musical moments, one of which — "Do What U Want," from her new album, "ARTPOP" — she shared with R&B star R. Kelly.
