Retired country singer Garth Brooks’ previously announced one-off wildfire benefit concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles next month has quickly become five sold-out shows.

Reviving the long-abandoned industry custom of multiple shows on a single day, Brooks will perform at 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Jan. 25, and at 1 p.m., 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. the next day.

Special guests are expected to appear at the 20,000-seat arena. It is unknown if Brooks will perform additional dates in the L.A. market.

With only four hours between each concert, officials at Staples Center and promoter AEG Live are making preparations for how each night will play out, an AEG spokesperson said.

Tickets for each show were priced at about $40 (plus service fees), with all proceeds going to the fire victims of the October blazes in southern California. The L.A. shows came together after California officials asked Brooks to help raise funds, according to a representative for the artist.

Last month Brooks performed nine sold-out concerts at the new Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo. He moved nearly 160,000 tickets in less than two hours via ticket outlets, online and telephone sales.
