Lindsay Lohan is due back in court on Tuesday, and even though she could be looking at jail time if she’s found to have violated her parole, friends say she’s not nervous at all.
“Lindsay has been doing everything by the book since she was in court last time,” said a friend of Lohan’s. “It was not her fault that her SCRAM (alcohol-detecting bracelet) went off — really. The truth about that will come out. And she’s been doing her alcohol classes — even though the judge clearly hates her, she (Lohan) hasn’t done anything since her last court appearance that will get her into trouble.”
It appears that Lohan’s last court appearance was a wake-up call.
“I think something finally sunk in (last time she was in court),” said another friend. “She’s not just following the rules now, she’s trying to be better all around. She’s working out more, she’s serious about her acting. She thinks that if she gets through this, the ‘old’ Lindsay will be behind her.”
Serena Williams worries about body image
Serena Williams might have another Wimbledon win under her belt, but like many women, she’s still self-conscious about her body. Williams said that she used to want to look like her tall, more slender sister Venus, but has since come to terms with her curvy “big boobs and (her) massive butt.”
“To this day, I don't love my arms,” she said in Harper’s Bazaar’s latest issue. “People want more fit arms, but my arms are too fit. But I'm not complaining. They pay my bills."
One thing Williams won’t to do to lose weight is diet. After the Australian Open in January, Williams decided it was time to get fit. So, she started doing Pilates and yoga in order to become leaner. Though she now eats smaller portions of every meal, she refuses to give up cherry pie, her favorite.
"Since I don't look like every other girl, it takes a while to be okay with that. To be different. But different is good," she said.
Vampire weekend at box officeWell that wasn’t much of a surprise… “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” was a solid No. 1 at the box office, bringing in $82.5 million over the long July 4 weekend, which brought the film’s total gross to $175.3 million since the movie was released June 30.
What was a big surprise: “The Last Airbender” managed to find its way into second place despite horrible reviews — no one expected a $53.1 million-dollar weekend. Rounding out the top three was “Toy Story 3.”
