Fashion has officially taken over the Big Apple.
But during this year's Fashion Week in New York, Access Hollywood found out it was charity taking center stage.
“As a model during Fashion Week, I felt I wanted to donate the money that I'm given by the designer to work here,” supermodel Naomi Campbell told us. And believe us, that's no small fee. Campbell can make up to $50,000 per show. Ands during the week, with eight runways coming up, Naomi's catwalk for charity could raise close to $500,000.
She also told us that the wanting to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina was something close to her heart for a special reason.
“I do whatever I can do because New Orleans was my first job ever on location,” she revealed.
Newly minted Vanity Fair cover girl Paris Hilton set off runway gridlock at the Tommy Hilfiger show, where she, along with Jay-Z, “Desperate” gardener Jesse Metcalfe and Petra Nemcova added some serious star power to the mix.
Additionally, Hilfiger donated $1 million and tons of clothes to Katrina relief efforts. And in a “the show must go on” spirit, an emotional Kimora Lee Simmons put on her Baby Phat show at Radio City Music Hall.
