Considering Jennifer Lopez has spent the bulk of her pregnancy swaddled in Roberto Cavalli, it shouldn’t come as a huge surprise that the mom-to-be is planning on going couture during her stay on the maternity ward.

A source close to Lopez said that the singer’s scheduled a Caesarean section, has packed her bags and will be checking into the hospital with four pastel-colored couture hospital gowns and a coordinating robe all designed by dearjohnnies.com in tow.

Star Jones: Not long for truTV’s world? The last episode of the Star Jones show runs Feb. 1, and although the reps for Jones and the network announced that the abrupt cancellation was “due to the rebranding and programming refocus of the network” and was “mutual,” some sources close to the production say that the Jones and her show didn’t fit in from day one.

“Even from the beginning it seemed as if no one wanted to work together,” said one source who worked closely with the show. “Star and the producers were never on the same page, and the guests would end up in really awkward positions on air.”

Another source close to Jones says that the writing might have been on the wall for a little while since the Court TV Jones had hoped to be a part of literally disappeared and the new truTV didn’t work with what Jones liked to do best. “It’s just one of those things,” said the source. “The network was going in another direction.”

Sneak peek at Abdul’s halftime show Despite the disappointing news that Paula Abdul’s upcoming Super Bowl performance had to be pretaped, there’s still plenty of buzz surrounding the “Idol” judge’s stage presence.

According to a source involved with the pretape, Abdul is excited to unveil a new look by makeup artist Mezhgan that will leave viewers “shocked.” What can you expect? “She’ll be wildly sexy” is all the source would say.

But one thing is certain: Abdul’s relationship with QVC played a part in the transformation. If you saw Abdul’s reality show “Hey Paula,” you know that her relationship with the television retailer seemed, um, contentious at times. However, Abdul must have had some cache with the network because Mezhgan will appear on QVC after the big game to sell the products she used on Abdul.

Box-office predictions Eva Longoria’s new comedy “Over Her Dead Body” might be getting a substantial marketing push, but new horror release “The Eye” is expected to make about $15 million according to early estimates. The big questions is whether “The Eye” can best “Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour,” which is set to premiere only on 683 screens. Here’s why it will win: At press time it’s already ranking fourth in top presales of all time by movietickets.com, and the film has been flying under the radar because most of the promotion has been on the Disney channel.
