UPDATE: Mario Lopez (who is a longtime close friend of Eva Longoria's) has revealed that Longoria found hundreds of text messages between Tony Parker and the wife of one of his teammates. The identity of the woman wasn't revealed, and neither was the identity of the teammate. Longoria also said that Parker cheated on her earlier in the marriage, and Parker stayed in touch with that woman via Facebook, according to Lopez. "She is devastated, she wants us all to know that," Lopez said. "But she's strong."

Despite denials from a rep a day earlier, Longoria filed for divorce from Parker, citing irreconcilable differences, The Associated Press reported.

Longoria filed for divorce Wednesday morning in Los Angeles Superior Court. The actress and Parker, the All-Star point guard for the NBA's San Antonio Spurs, were married July 7, 2007. They have no children together.

AP reports that in the filing, Longoria, who had taken Parker's name, is requesting that her name be restored to Eva Jacqueline Longoria. The filing also states that the couple had a prenuptial agreement.

Longoria also took to Twitter to share the news. "It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. We love each other deeply and pray for each other’s happiness," she wrote.

Tuesday afternoon, TMZ reported that Parker filed for divorce from Longoria in Texas. Reps for Longoria told Scoop at the time that the reports were "100 percent false."

Apparently they weren't, although reps for Longoria now tell Scoop, "we are not commenting at this time."

Us Weekly also reported in their issue, on newsstands Friday, that Parker had been exchanging "personal texts" with a mutual female friend for nearly a year, "hundreds in just one month," according to the magazine. A friend of the couple told Us, "once the trust was lost, the marriage was over."
