Talk about coming full circle!

Elton John joined the cast of "The Lion King" on the Broadway stage Sunday night for a special surprise performance of his song "Circle of Life," and trust us: We were feeling all the feels possible.

"Circle" is an integral part of both the 1994 classic Disney movie and the stage musical, which is now celebrating its 20th anniversary on Broadway — a feat in and of itself.

John appeared after the curtain call at the Minskoff Theater, and was surrounded by the cast to perform his Oscar-nominated song. A clip of the performance is up on YouTube with the caption, "Tonight we celebrated 20 years on Broadway with some of our closest family and friends, including (director/designer) Julie Taymor and the entire creative team, over 100 cast alumni and a surprise performance by the one and only Sir Elton John."

John also posted a picture of himself with show lyricist Tim Rice on Twitter after the event. (Love those glasses, Elton!)

To date, the "Lion" has roared on Broadway more than 8,300 times since it first opened on Nov. 13, 1997 at the New Amsterdam Theater. A live-action adaptation of the movie will be released in 2019, starring actors including Beyoncé, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Donald Glover.

We're happy to see them take so much pride in their accomplishments. It truly is good to be "King"!
