We'll get to the latest on the Glee vs. Kings of Leon dramarama in a moment, but first let's talk Elton John.

The "Rocket Man" singer told us just the other day that he'd love to be on Glee, but he has never been invited.

Even so...

We hit up some of our favorite Gleeks to find who (or what) they think Sir Elton could play on the show.

"I think he should be like Puck's next door neighbor who he hangs out with all the time but nobody knows about their friendship," Dianna Agron said at the SAG Awards. "Puck's father isn't around, so it entails everything from golfing together to washing dishes at night. They make dinner for each other. They listen to music. It's a true father-son relationship."

Jenna Ushkowitz revealed that "Lea [Michele] has been campaigning for him to be one of her fathers. I think that would be pretty funny."

And the dad suggestions keep pouring in.

"Elton John should play, oh my gosh, maybe [former McKinley choir director] Sandy Ryerson's father," Amber Riley smiled, adding, "Or he should be the leader of one our rivals."

Chord Overstreet said he'd "freaking freak out" if E.J. appeared on the show. "I think he should play a professor of some sort, a teacher--a history teacher!" Overstreet said.

John should really surprise people by playing "something opposite of what people would think of, instead of like a gay dad," Harry Shum Jr. said this weekend at Entertainment Weekly's pre-SAGs bash at the Chateau Marmont hotel.

Sorry, Lea.

"I think he should play the stern principle that comes in and takes over for like a day, and then see how he would run the glee club."

Could Shum even imagine throwing a slushy at the legendary music man? "You know what," he said, "I would do it just to say that I did it. I'll tell my kids that I threw a slushy at Elton John. No disrespect because it's acting. It's all acting."

As for the Kings of Leon controversy, show director Paris Barclay probably said it best. "That's just one group out of thousands that want to be a part of Glee," he said at the DGAs. "I just say, 'Let's move on.'"

We second that.
