Now, this is the ultimate Flashback Friday: To celebrate the 20th anniversary of TODAY's summer concert series, the show got a visit from the first band to launch the event two decades ago, Earth, Wind & Fire.

Its members reflected on how the music industry has changed since they performed on the plaza on June 16, 1995, saying the use of social media was the biggest difference. They're particularly active on Twitter these days (follow them at @EarthWindFire).

The band also joined the TODAY anchors in the Orange Room for some selfie action.

Earth, Wind & Fire also took a moment to pose with Meghan Trainor just before her performance on the plaza.
