Ross Mathews is no longer living large.
"I went shopping, let me tell you how fun that was!" the Chelsea Lately panelist gushed to E! News Tuesday about the experience of buying a medium-size jacket. "Just about everything's better--you feel better, you look better, s-e-x is better, everything's better!" he exclaimed. "I know that sounds super cheesy, but I mean it."
The E! red carpet regular, who started off hilariously (albeit heavier) as a correspondent on The Tonight Show, has shed 40 pounds and was at NYC's Lincoln Center to pay tribute to Jenny Craig for helping him drop the weight.
Obviously Mathews is thrilled, but what has his boss had to say about his transformation?
He says he arrived for a taping and Chelsea Handler gave him the once-over.
"She looked at me and goes, 'You look good.' That's about as effusive as Chelsea gets with the compliments," Mathews joked, "but I'll take it. 'You look good.'"
For the record, he also said that Chelsea "didn't shame me into losing the weight."
As fellow weight-loss success stories Valerie Bertineli, Sara Rue and Nicole Sullivan whipped up healthy treats using Jenny Craig products--he and Bertinelli bit into a burger Lady &the Tramp-style--he told E! News what losing the weight and 26 inches off his waistline has meant to him.
"That's like, new-wardrobe, I-can-hike-to-the-top-of-a-hill, hallelujah, yay-me weight!" Mathews said.
Yay Ross, indeed.
