A Wakefield, Massachusetts man recently found out his truck had been hit while it was parked in the street — and that's just fine by him!
That's because there was a very familiar face behind the wheel of the other truck.
On Monday, Dwayne Johnson — aka The Rock — shared the story of his accidental vehicular smackdown.
"I'm driving to set in my pickup truck — music blasting — I'm singing away like I'm having a one man party in my truck — then I hear a loud BANG," Johnson explained in a caption that accompanied a photo of the incident on Instagram. "What the hell..? Look in my rear view and see I sideswiped another pickup that was parked in the street and destroyed the side mirror. First thing I thought was, "Aw sh--. Someone's not gonna be happy..."
But that's where he was wrong.
Sure, Audie Bridges was taken aback when he first saw Johnson's 6-foot-5, 260-pound frame headed his way. But then he realized who it was.
"He broke out into a huge smile and said, 'Wow, this is gonna be an awesome story!'" Johnson recalled. "I started belly laughing at that, then he started laughing and before you know it we're both standing in the middle of the street pointing to his mirror and laughing like two ol' crazy buddies."
The buddies then posed for a photo and swapped contact information. But when Johnson reached out to Bridges a few days later to find out how much he owed him for the damage, The Rock was in for a shock.
"He refused to accept any money and said he fixed the damage himself," Johnson said.
The whole incident left the star feeling thankful and a little philosophical.
"Life is funny cause you never know who you're gonna run into... and sure as hell never know who's truck you're gonna sideswipe while driving to work," he wrote.
