It's been two and half years since Matthew Crawley met his fate on "Downton Abbey," leaving Lady Mary a widow and fans heartbroken.
But there's good news! Matthew and Mary got together again this week.
Actually, it was stars Dan Stevens and Michelle Dockery who reunited, but it the closest thing to devoted "Downton" viewers will get to seeing the fan-favorite couple together again.
"Reunited," Dockery wrote in a caption accompanying a black-and-white photo of the pair. "I've missed this face."
She even included the hashtags "#LastDaysOfDownton" and "#matthewandmary."
The occasion that brought about the reunion was a special BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) event in honor of the end of the beloved series.
Stevens later posted a color version of the same shot, adding his own sweet hat tip to their past.
"Me & M'Lady together again," he wrote.
The final season of "Downton Abbey" will air in the U.S. on PBS this winter.
