Has the mainstream media picked on former Alaska governor turned reality TV star and (possible) future presidential candidate Sarah Palin? Well, she happens to think so, at least!

And so does her daughter, Bristol Palin. While championing the cause of abstinence with Christianity Today, Bristol spoke out on why she thinks the media and mean, old Hollywood scrutinize her mama grizzly so much.

"I think that people treat her poorly, they treat her with no respect, and I think it's because they're envious of her," Bristol spouted off. So what exactly are these Palin-bashing bullies so jealous of?

"She's got a good family, she's got a good husband, she's got awesome support, she's got God on her side, and I think people are envious of that," Bristol explained. "They're envious that she carries herself so well, that she's smart. There are lots of vicious people out there."

While it's debatable whether any of these doubters are actually jealous of one of the most parodied presidential candidates, Bristol says that any name-calling naysayers won't scare her fam away from the White House.

"I think my family has shown the country that we're capable of handling anything," Bristol boasts when asked if the Palin pack could handle the spotlight that accompanies Oval Office access. "If my mom decided to run for President we would be right there behind her, supporting her in any way we could."

Which begs the question: Is Sarah even going to take a chance winning the title of Commander-in-Chief?

"I'm pretty sure I know," Bristol teased of her mother's unknown presidential plans. "We talk all the time. What's said at our kitchen table will remain there until she wants to make a decision publicly. We'll wait to hear that."

Aside from addressing political mama drama, Bristol continued her virginity chitchat tour and clears up any lingering doubts about her claim that Levi Johnston "stole" her virginity.

"I definitely think what happened was bad," the eldest Palin daughter argues. "But I think that if I had thought it was at all date rape, I wouldn't have dated Levi on and off for the next four or five years. It definitely wasn't date rape...I'm just saying it wasn't what I hoped or thought it would be."

But she is expecting something from Levi: his memoir to be chock full of lies.

"I know his book is not going to be legitimate, that's for sure," Bristol claims. "If Levi wants to come out and make up more lies then so be it. That's just Levi."

Or maybe he's just jealous, Bristol! Ever think of that?
