Leave it to Charlie Sheen and his Sheenanigans to make the transition into Monday morning a little more...interesting.
Just when we thought we'd heard it all, out comes this dispatch from the Sober Valley Lodge: The soon-to-be touring actor claims that his ex-wife Denise Richards has perpetrated a dognapping!
Conversely, a source tells E! News that Richards did indeed remove dogs from Sheen's care, but only to save them from endangerment.
Hmmm...whom to believe?

The trouble first started early this morning, when Sheen unleashed the following tweet onto the world:
"We must bombard with Warlock Napalm, that traitor and loser whore #DUH-neese POOR-ards. a vile kidnapper and now dog thief. hate. SBW c."
"Like a Dinosaur Stampede from middle earth RAGING atop Col. Kilgore's main rotor, our assault must be EPIC," is his follow-up. "The Truth is our rocket fuel. c."
For those who left their decoder ring at home, Sheen is insisting that Richards stole two of his dogs (which, it turns out, were really her dogs), after claiming that they weren't being properly cared for.
"There were two dogs that were hers back when they were separating, she let him have them so the girls would have them there when they visited," a source close to the actress told E! News.
"When Denise saw the dogs a couple of months ago, they were in such bad shape, one of them died after Denise took it. She has one of them, and the other one died."
Last week, Richards announced the "very sad" news that their Boston Terrier Lucy had passed away, though it's unclear if that is one of the two dogs she's accused of snatching.
" She was 12, had her since she was a pup. Been thru so much with me...we will miss her..." she wrote.
Meanwhile, the source added that Sheen is "not a dog lover...he never was," and that Richards, an active member of Much Love Animal Rescue, PETA, and various other rescue groups, was simply "trying to save the dogs."
She said as much herself, in fact, when asked on Twitter this morning whether she did, as Sheen claims, steal the pooches.
"Nope," was her reply.
In any case, it seems highly unlikely that Richards would steal the dogs--in addition to her own pets, she's an active foster parent for rescue dogs, and has regularly tweeted about their progress in her loving home.
And as it happens, this is one Twitter war that may (fingers crossed) have a short shelf life. Richards and her girls are embarking on a spring-break trip together later this week for what we can only imagine is a well-deserved vacation.
